Awarded Common Wealth Fellowship on integrated approach in the delivery of the maternal and child health, 1979.
Nominated by University Grant Commission to visit Russia in 1982.
Appointed on WHO Expert Advisory panel on Public Health Administration since 1986.
Invited by ICMR to write paper on ' Alternative Model for Health & Family Welfare' with special reference to slum population in 1986.
Invited by FAO on the workshop on 'Application of Communication Strategies for the reduction of Vit. A deficiencies' in 1986.
Selected by British Deputy High Commission to give lectures at various Universities of Edinburgh and London in 1986 and 1989.
Appointed as working group member of Planning Commission of India on Medical Education, Training & Man power Planning & Health Care Delivery Services in Rural & Urban Areas in 1989.

Programme on Prevention of Blindness in Children of the country.

Received World Of Children Award,
which is Noble prize for Children Advocacy at UNICEF,
New York (Nov 2004).
She was the first Indian to receive this award of 1 Lac US$(45 Lacs). She immediately donated the entire amount for the Children Welfare of India.
Received Stree Shakti Puraskar Award by Ministry of Child Development & Women Empowerment of Govt. of India: Nov.2006.
